Los Angeles’s grunge revivalists Return to Dust will open for Chevelle on their upcoming tour, and are looking forward to exposing new audiences to their explosive, instantly recognizable sounds. The tour will launch mid-July, and includes festival appearances at Inkcarceration and Rock Fest. The shows mark Return to Dust’s first national tour.
“We’re stoked to be sharing the stage with Chevelle!,” the band said in a statement. “We can only hope to match their musical prowess one day. Thanks, Sam and Pete for taking us out.”
Return to Dust’s self-titled debut, released earlier this year, is a headfirst dive into the turbulent waters of Alice in Chains and Nirvana, with a splash of Deftones to season the mix. And onstage, they channel the energy of their influences delivering a show that’s both powerful and familiar.
There’s no denying the band’s technical chops and no one can argue with the initial success of their single “Belly Up,” which generated two million views on TikTok in a single weekend. With an upcoming tour with scene veterans Sevendust, and a fullscale tour with Chevelle, Return To Dust are looking forward to taking their tunes to larger crowds, and building on the wave they’ve created and hope to continue riding well into the future.
