Keeley Electronics has announced the release of the Andy Timmons Halo Core, a simplified version of its popular Halo delay pedal, originally introduced in 2019. The Halo Core offers guitarists a more streamlined approach to achieving the ethereal, modulated dual-echo sound made famous by renowned guitarist Andy Timmons.
The Halo Core features three distinct delay modes: Andy’s signature “Halo” sound, a quarter-note delay, and a dotted-eighth note delay. Each mode can be further customized using the pedal’s intuitive controls, including a dedicated tap tempo footswitch.
Key features of the Halo Core include:
- True Stereo Input and Output: Immersive sound quality with true stereo capabilities.
- Switchable Trails or True Bypass: Versatile operation to suit different playing styles.
- All-Wet or All-Dry Modes: Perfect for both straight-into-amp and effects loop setups.
- Redesigned Infinite Hold Feature: Enhanced sound quality for sustained delay effects.
- Intuitive Alt Controls: Fine-tune the delay sound with adjustable high-pass filter, delay tone, and tape-like saturation.
Tone Factory: Use the Saturate control to add tape compression texture to your tone. The Tone and High Pass Filter controls your overall delay shape and mix. Set the Time and Feedback controls low, and you can open up a world of ambient chorus and flanger effects. Run in stereo for incredible true-stereo imaging.
The Halo Core is now available for purchase, with the first 50 units shipping immediately. This compact and powerful delay pedal is an excellent choice for guitarists looking to augment their sound with a user-friendly high-quality, and multi-purpose pedal.
