Watch Ariel Posen Play Ambient Instrumental of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” Using New Keeley Zoma

Share

Just in time for Halloween, Keeley Electronics has shot a promo video for their new Zoma reverb and Tremolo pedal, and opened it with an effect-laden instrumental of “Thriller,” the spooky title track from Michael Jackson’s groundbreaking #1 album 1982 album. Thanks to some fretboard magic by their hired performer, the great Ariel Posen, it cooks.

Now that you’ve heard the pedal in action, here’s the news about the new pedal, which Keeley are calling, “Our most high-fidelity pro Reverb and Tremolo ever!”

The innovative pedal, which retails for $229, combines (duh) reverb and tremolo effects into a single, unit, offering a highly impressive level of sonic versatility and control.

A Nod to the Past, A Leap into the Future

Drawing inspiration from the classic tremolo and reverb effects found in vintage amplifiers, the Zoma features three distinct reverb modes—Spring, Plate, and Pitch Vibrato—and three tremolo modes—Sine Wave, Harmonic, and Pitch Vibrato. Each mode can be paired with any other, allowing for a wide range of tones.

Precision and Control at Your Fingertips

The Zoma’s intuitive control layout makes it easy to dial in the perfect sound. Three large knobs control Reverb Level, Rate, and Depth for the tremolo, while additional controls provide access to Reverb Decay, Reverb Tone, and Tremolo Volume. The pedal also offers the flexibility to choose between true bypass or buffered trails, allowing it to be easily integrated into any guitar setup.

A Masterclass in Stereo Sound

One of the Zoma’s most impressive features is its ability to deliver true stereo reverb and tremolo. This creates a more immersive and expansive sound that envelops the listener, making it ideal for both live performance and recording.

A Pedal Designed to Inspire

The Zoma’s range of functions can inspire creativity and elevate playing to new heights. With its sturdy build, versatility, and pristine sound, the Zoma is another feather in the cap of Keeley’s inventors and engineers.

Key Features of the Keeley Zoma:

  • Three reverb modes: Spring, Plate, and Pitch Vibrato
  • Three tremolo modes: Sine Wave, Harmonic, and Pitch Vibrato
  • True stereo reverb and tremolo
  • Intuitive control layout
  • True bypass or buffered trails
  • High-quality construction
  • Designed and manufactured in the USA

The Keeley Zoma sounds great, looks cool, and is simple to use. If you’re looking to add a versatile and powerful reverb and tremolo pedal to your rig, the Zoma is definitely worth considering.
