HeadRush Expands Lineup with Powerful New Gear and Software for Guitarists and Bassists

Share

HeadRush, a leading innovator in guitar and bass effects processing, has announced a significant expansion of its product line with the introduction of three new products and a major software update.

The new offerings include the Flex Prime multi-effects processor, the FRFR-GO portable amplifier, and the ReValver Amp Cloner software. Additionally, HeadRush is releasing a free v4.0 feature update for its existing Prime and Core models.

Flex Prime: Compact Powerhouse for Stage and Studio

The crown jewel of the new line of HeadRush products is the Flex Prime, a compact multi-effects processor aimed at guitarists and bassists seeking a versatile and portable tonal palette. It boasts a library of over 600 effects, amps, and emulations, including realistic guitar and bass amps, IRs (impulse responses simulating speaker cabinets), microphone models, and a variety of stompbox effects (see video above).

Despite its size, the Flex Prime offers the same processing power as its larger siblings, the HeadRush Prime and Core models. This allows users to load up to 14 simultaneous effects, amps, and other processing blocks within a single preset, providing extensive sonic sculpting capabilities.

A key feature of the Flex Prime is its four-inch high-resolution touchscreen display, which allows for intuitive control and editing of presets. Wi-Fi connectivity enables users to share and download presets and amp clones through the HeadRush Cloud platform, while also facilitating remote editing via a web interface on a computer or tablet.

FRFR-GO: Portable Amp for Authentic Tone on the Move

Not to be overlooked, The FRFR-GO is a lightweight, 30-watt portable amplifier designed for guitarists and bassists who want to practice or jam with their amp modelers without compromising sound quality.

Equipped with dual three-inch speakers, the FRFR-GO delivers a flat frequency response, ensuring the accurate reproduction of modeled amps and cabinets. Built-in Bluetooth connectivity allows for wireless audio streaming from phones or tablets, while an auxiliary input accommodates additional audio sources. The FRFR-GO is also rechargeable, offering up to 13 hours of playtime for on-the-go use.

ReValver Amp Cloner: Capture Your Dream Amp’s Sound

The ReValver Amp Cloner software is designed to capture the sound and feel of real-world guitar amps, preamps, and stompboxes. HeadRush touts its “SuperClone” technology as a breakthrough feature, allowing users to create amp models that dynamically morph between different captured tones. This goes beyond traditional “snapshot” amp captures, offering a more nuanced and versatile tonal experience.

The software utilizes HeadRush’s ACT (Audio Cloning Technology) to capture the sonic characteristics of physical gear, including both analog equipment and software-based amp modelers. This captured data can then be loaded into HeadRush hardware or the ReValver 5.1 software for further tweaking and use in live performance or studio recording.

v4.0 Feature Update Expands Functionality

The v4.0 software update is available for free to owners of the existing HeadRush Prime, Core, and Flex Prime models. It introduces several new features, including a remote web editor for easier preset editing, support for the SuperClone technology introduced in the ReValver Amp Cloner software, and a number of new effects. Additionally, all Flex Prime owners will receive a free copy of the full ReValver Suite software, adding further value to the product.

Compared to other high-quality muti-effects processors, portable amps, and amp modeling software, HeadRush’s new line of products seems like a real bargain:

HeadRush Flex Prime: $499 (USD)
HeadRush FRFR-GO: $149 (USD)
HeadRush ReValver 5.1 Suite (incl. Amp Cloner): $199 (USD) (Free for registered Flex Prime customers)
HeadRush v4.0 Feature Update: Free for Prime, Core, and Flex Prime owners.
